STOP FEEDING THE BEAST Part II — The Beast Lives Through Us

STOP FEEDING THE BEAST

Part II — The Beast Lives Through Us

By Reverend Michael Cook, D.Div.
Red Bull Illuminati Ministry

There is an old saying that every person carries within themselves two wolves. One represents kindness, wisdom, patience, humility, and compassion. The other represents anger, fear, greed, hatred, jealousy, and pride. When asked which wolf wins, the answer is simple:

The one you feed.

Whether or not this story has a historical origin is less important than the truth it symbolizes.

The same principle applies not only to individuals, but to families, communities, and entire civilizations.

The "Beast" is not merely something outside of us. It is also something within us. It grows whenever we allow fear to replace understanding, whenever anger replaces patience, and whenever hatred replaces love.

Every human being faces this struggle.

The question is not whether darkness exists.

The question is whether we choose to nourish it.

The Inheritance We Leave Behind

Children inherit far more than their parents' eye color or family name.

They inherit attitudes.

They inherit habits.

They inherit emotional patterns.

They inherit the way we treat other people.

A child who constantly witnesses kindness often learns kindness.

A child who constantly witnesses contempt may come to believe that contempt is normal.

The greatest lessons in life are rarely taught in classrooms.

They are taught at the dinner table.

They are taught by watching how parents respond to stress.

They are taught by observing whether disagreements are handled with respect or with cruelty.

Children are always learning, even when no one realizes they are teaching.

Every generation becomes a mirror of the one before it.

Fear Is a Poor Teacher

Fear has a purpose.

It can warn us of genuine danger.

But fear becomes destructive when it governs every decision.

A society built entirely upon fear begins to lose trust.

Neighbors become strangers.

Strangers become enemies.

Every disagreement becomes a battle.

Every difference becomes a threat.

Fear narrows our vision until we can no longer recognize the humanity of those around us.

Love does the opposite.

Love expands our vision.

It reminds us that every person has hopes, struggles, dreams, and fears of their own.

Compassion does not require agreement.

It requires recognizing another person's humanity.

The Illusion of "Us Versus Them"

History repeatedly demonstrates that societies become weaker when they divide themselves into opposing camps that refuse to listen to one another.

Whenever we reduce people to labels alone, we stop seeing individuals.

We stop asking questions.

We stop learning.

We stop growing.

The Beast thrives wherever people forget that every human being possesses inherent dignity.

This does not mean that all actions are good or that harmful behavior should be ignored.

People should still be held accountable for wrongdoing.

Justice matters.

Responsibility matters.

But accountability and compassion are not enemies.

A society can pursue justice without abandoning its humanity.

Becoming Builders Instead of Destroyers

Throughout history there have always been two kinds of people.

Those who destroy.

And those who build.

Destroyers spread despair because despair is easy.

Builders spread hope because hope requires effort.

Destroyers divide.

Builders unite.

Destroyers criticize endlessly.

Builders solve problems.

The Architect of Light chooses to become a builder.

Not because building is easy.

But because future generations deserve something better than endless conflict.

Every encouraging word lays another stone.

Every act of forgiveness lays another stone.

Every honest conversation lays another stone.

Brick by brick, a better future is constructed.

Feeding the Light

If hatred grows by being fed, then so does love.

If fear spreads through repetition, then courage spreads through example.

If cruelty is contagious, then compassion can be contagious as well.

Imagine if each person made one conscious decision every day to strengthen the Light rather than the darkness.

One act of generosity.

One word of encouragement.

One moment of patience.

One sincere apology.

One opportunity to forgive.

Small actions often create the greatest changes.

History is filled with ordinary people whose quiet acts of goodness transformed countless lives.

A Legacy Worth Leaving

None of us knows how much time we have.

But every one of us leaves something behind.

Some leave wealth.

Some leave accomplishments.

Some leave memories.

The greatest legacy, however, is the character we inspire in others.

Long after our names are forgotten, the values we planted may continue growing in our children, our families, and our communities.

That is how civilizations are renewed.

Not through fear.

Not through hatred.

But through countless individuals choosing to become examples of wisdom, courage, humility, and compassion.

A Final Reflection

Ask yourself these questions:

What am I feeding each day?

Am I feeding resentment or reconciliation?

Am I feeding fear or understanding?

Am I feeding division or unity?

Am I leaving behind a world that my children—or the next generation—will be grateful to inherit?

The Beast survives only when people continue to nourish it.

The Light grows whenever ordinary people choose extraordinary compassion.

Every day presents a choice.

Every conversation presents a choice.

Every action presents a choice.

Feed the darkness...

or feed the Light.

The future depends upon which one we choose.

Peace, Light, and Understanding to All.
