The Song of God by Azrael Ondi-Ahman book of scripture, says most humans are not born with a soul so its your resposibibility to build your soul through empathy,intellect,logic,reason,love,service to others,seekinging and being HOLY or HOLINESS, this is everything that happens builds your eternal soul, Epiphenomenon of soul is where God gives you a life but your soul is created by life by those actions I stated about above that is just a summary, the book the Song Of God shows you how to do it cultivate your (morontia soul as in Urantia Book) but this is about the Song of God where you can survive death with personality INTACT as you were when you were with body. The Spirit of a person is different its what is left behind after death that ligures as spirits not the soul.....note God came back in time and brought spirit soul children with them some didn't say how much and if your reading this, your a child of God so you got a soul already, I have a soul already but I do both views of soul and spirit 1 its there already the seed and your eternal as hell already or I am becoming eternal cultivating my soul as the Song of God book says.
It is a big deal to either live forever or die and never open your eyes again. Again you have a Spirit which powers the body but the SOUL isn't the Spirit it contains the soul which never ends or ends, soul is infinite and so is spirit from God.
So many people don't survive death as they did not have epiphenomenon of soul happen like some new born babies for example that never even lived that long if they die like my brother Travis Cook who was 10 months old in 1991 but God gives those people multiple lives to get it right with epiphenomenon of soul and religion happening.
