The Cook Universal Ministry affirms that Divine Reality is not distant, external, or monopolized by institutions, but is immediately present within the human soul.

Across spiritual traditions, this indwelling presence has been named in many ways. In The Urantia Book, it is called the Thought Adjuster. In ancient philosophy, it was known as Nous. In Eastern wisdom, Atman. In Christian mysticism, the Inner Light.

These names do not describe separate beings. They point to one reality:

The divine intelligence and conscience already present within the human being, drawing the soul toward truth, love, and wholeness.

The Christ Pattern
